Content Creation

This course is taught at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design virtually as part of the Adult Professional Certificate Program for credit.

In this class, you will learn how to create content for the social media space, including platforms such as Facebook, X (Twitter), Threads, and Instagram. An emphasis will be placed upon the importance of reaching your target audience and building engaging content for your community. In addition, this course will explore principles of branding, social media marketing, content strategy, and SEO. We will dig deeper into the platforms and concepts discussed in SM 101, Introduction to Social Media Marketing, as well as cover new material designed to give a deeper understanding of online marketing and communications. This course will be taught for both brand and personal brand perspectives.

Advanced Social Media Marketing

This Course is taught at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design virtually as part of the Adult Professional Certificate Program for credit.

In Social Media 102, Advanced Social Media Marketing, students will go in-depth on social media marketing strategy, including creation, planning, execution, and measurement. Students will understand how to build a strong social media presence for a brand, using both organic and paid tactics. This course will cover best practices for networks such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, as well as how you can reach your target audience in the social media space.

Introduction to Social Media Marketing

This summer, Mia will be back at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design for her fourth year of teaching.

Social media is an excellent way for businesses and brands to reach their audiences and build awareness and trust. The space can be tricky and overwhelming to navigate, but with the right plan, strategy, and tactics you can find your community. In SM 101 Introduction to Social Media Marketing, students will learn what social media means for businesses and brands in 2023, how it is used by modern marketers, and ways to develop and execute a strategic social media plan amid a complex and competitive social media environment. This course is great for those who are new to social media and social media marketing, as well as those who are looking to advance their skills in best practices, strategy, and execution.
